Low fare leaders Jetstar are bringing thousands of new tourists into Phuket with a twice daily A320 service from Singapore and additional an A330 holiday service from Australia.
AirAsia meanwhile are hoping that such tourists may consider traveling to the North East of Thailand in one of its newly launched four times per week flights from Phuket to
Udon Thani.
Mr Tassapon Bijleveld, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia said, ?Most of our customers are Chinese, Japanese and European. They come to Thailand and travel for between two weeks and three months, so with our low fair flights, they can travel to many provinces around Thailand.?
He added, ?Our plan is to have more customers with low fares rather than fewer people with expensive fares. I think people will have a good time travelling."
Also hoping that their passengers will be content is newly launched airline ?Happy Air.?
Its SAAB 340A aircrafts can hold just 33 passengers will be flying to various domestic
locations, including Hat Yai, and some destinations in neighbouring Malaysia.
