Jason Nuell, General Manager of The Renaissance Phuket Resort and Spa, disclosed to the Post that the resort?s marketing plan of this year would be to promote the ?Renaissance?s brand voice.? ?We are targetting mid-management people looking for a chic, stylish and comfortably cool resort.

'Renaissance Phuket? flung open its rather large teak doors in April 2010 but plans to coincide its October grand-opening with the opening of ?Renaissance Miami.?
The resort?s target group will be what is known in the industry as ?Leisure Lifestyle travellers?.

This Mr Nuell explains, includes couples, adventurous small groups, young families and niche markets, ?We planned our low season strategy way ahead of this critical situation that we currently find ourselves in. As we are still positioning our brand voice, we are very careful or rather conservative in our planning to ensure we fit the market.? said Mr Nuell.

In celebration of its soft opening, the Renaissance Phuket Resort and Spa is offering an introductory package of 5,555 baht which includes deluxe accommodation and a complimentary American breakfast for two adults. A villa package starts at 8,888 baht and includes breakfast as well as free wi-fi.

?We are also working with local and corporate clients in joint promotion schemes with selected credit cards for consumer products such as clothing and automobiles,? explained Mr Nuell.

?We are entering the market with a relatively competitive rate and therefore will be able to position ourselves where we need to be by focusing on Renaissance?s brand voice.? Mr Nuell added.

Although, ?Renaiss believes that Thailand is and will continue to face the ramifications of the recent political violence, it believes that the impact will be felt much greater in Bangkok than in Phuket.

The Renaissance Phuket Resort and Spa, which offers spacious rooms and suites with beautiful landscape views, promises a boutique experience with distinctive luxury and exceptional service.

Located on Mai Khao beach in the northern part of the island, it is a mere 15-minute leisurely drive from Phuket International Airport, The 180-rooms in the resort include 150 deluxe, 4 one bedroom suites, 21 pool villas, 4 ocean front pool villas and 1 three bedroom ocean front pool villa resort operating under a long-term management agreement.

A conference centre called the ?Renaissance Ball Room? will open in the second quarter of this year. Other facilities onsite include the Doppio?Coffee & Tea Bar and the Loca Vore restaurant which includes fresh local ingredients cooked to client?s taste.
