Phuket International Hospital is urging everyone to buy a toy bear to show that they care for the impoverished and orphaned children of Phuket this Christmas.
Bears will be available from the hospital for 100 baht each and all proceeds will go to help the Phuket Community Foundation set up a toy library, and to help the children in need in other foundations.
Wariya Jinnatanapong, the marketing and promotion manager of Phuket International hospital said, “90% of foreigners buy the bears and then don’t take them home, so we will put the bears on a big Christmas tree that we have in the hospital and give them to children closer to Christmas.”
The bears are available to purchase from now until 4 January.
