PHUKET’S very first donkey, Helga, is now a proud mum having given birth to a bouncing baby called Lola.

Lola was born on Koh Maphrao and now lives with her mother and auntie Olga under the watchful eye of retired Swiss couple Norbert and Jacqueline Erni.

Jacqueline and Norbert obtained both Helga and Olga in the north of Thailand eight months ago knowing that Helga was already pregnant. “Like all babies Lola is trying hard to learn how to do things just like her mom.” Jacqueline said
