Have you been watermarked yet? Whatever are you waiting for? From hot-steppers to wannabes to have-beens, to also-rans, this is the place to find them all.

At our brunch at the Watermark, we goggled at a stream of "important" folk. They strode in with the casual amble of regulars, but the strut of where they were was unmistakable.

It is the ultimate in dramatic dining on Phuket. Does not get anymore hi-so than this, without costing an arm, a leg and a small Pacific island.

The hunting ground for VIPs. The place to hang around and eavesdrop. But most of all, the place to take in the dramatic setting that is the Watermark.

You want everyone to know you were here. "I was at the Watermark last night," is guaranteed to raise an envious eyebrow or two.

Amazingly enough, not through your nose. Unless you're a journalist. A meal for two with a glass of cognac, double coffees and dessert cost us 1,600 baht.
