A Night of Pure Jazz
November 17, Royal Phuket Marina
(2007-11-05 16:15:26)
"We... are indeed excited about November." say the Exclusive Artist Management [EAM] team, and plenty of reason for the people of Phuket to be excited as well.

The EAM has been invited to orchestrate a cross continent concert tour with notable world class musicians - initiating in Europe and culminating with a concert in the UAE, on the campus of the American University of Sharjah on November 4, 2007, with a Master Class/Workshop on Monday, November 5th.

The performers will then be on a self-imposed "holiday".

However - and here's the good news - EAM has persuaded them ("If the truth be told, music makers MUST make music"), to remain in the region long enough to participate in the 5th annual JAMF* Anniversary Celebration in Bangkok. This event will take place on Sunday, November 25, 2007, at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, and as an off-shoot of this event, the performing artists will gather on November 17, right here in Phuket, on the lawns of the Royal Phuket Marina, to present islanders and visitors with a rare night of extraordinary music and performances.

Presented by Les Anges, 'A Night of Pure Jazz' will feature a host of professional and dedicated practitioners of the art. For tickets and details, contact Peter on 081 968 0738 or email him at peterw@lesangesphuket.com

Spotlight on the performers:
Alice Day
As a musician, Ms Day represents the best of the jazz vocal tradition. Rhythmically strong, emotionally intense and articulate, her gospel and jazz background serve as the basic ingredients for her art. Alice Day has firmly established her own musical identity, however, creating a style that is unique yet universal. She believes that jazz, the distinctly American art form, if to survive, must be shared worldwide. And she travels the world doing just that. Alice Day is a Renaissance woman: musician, recording artist, entrepreneur, lecturer, jazz promoter and former jazz club owner, disc jockey and humanitarian. In Florida, she is affectionately called “The First Lady of Jazz”. Her emotional and heartfelt interpretation of standards, coupled with her warm and dynamic personality, gives her tremendous success with audiences everywhere.
