Startling news from one of the most travel happy countries in the world, one in three Australians will reportedly cut down on overseas travel in the next six months, due to the increase in global warming.
A recent survey by MasterCard Worldwide reveals that Aussies, who are very environmentally conscious, think that this is the greatest consideration in their choice to holiday in their own country.
In response to other questions on the survey, fifty-one per cent of respondents named Europe as their favourite overseas destination and Qantas emerged as the preferred airline by Australian business travellers, inspite of the stiff competition in the aviation industry.
The survey also found that the main concern that Australians have with travel is security and safety.
