One evening as I was driving around town with my friend and we saw the very new and chic ?Chill Chill? restaurant on Kra road (parallel with the canal) not far from Sapan Hin.
Owner Khun Tan opened the cafe/restaurant Chill Chill in February for her son who just finished a course to become a barista.
Khun Tan recommended that my friend and I try Pasta Tomyam Kung (Pasta with Thai spicy shrimp soup) for 79 baht and a Khao Kaikon Sauce Tomyam (rice wrapped with omelette and served with Thai spicy shrimp) for just 59 baht.
Despite the first dish being a traditional Thai favourite, it was quite sweet instead of spicy but we did enjoy eating so many fresh shrimp and squids.
We also shared the second dish. It was really Thai and tasted great, my foreign friends always seem amused when I tell them that omelette and rice go really well together ? but it?s true, they do!
As it was evening I thought it was unfortunately too late for coffee regardless of how professionally it may have been prepared. Maybe next time. There is also a meeting room with 20 seats available for no extra charge but you do need to order some food and drinks. Wifi internet is also coming soon.
We had no meeting to attend and our working day was done, so we ordered a fresh guava juice and fresh orange juice, which is only 25 baht each.
As the name of the restaurant implies, spending an evening in ?Chill Chill? certainly makes one feel fresh and more relaxed after finishing a hard day?s work.
Open daily from 11am till 11pm. For more information call 076-250153.
