Pamper yourself at Sanamya
Pamper yourself at Sanamya
Tue 2 Feb 2010
Sanamya’s slogan is “pamper yourself at Sanamya and watch your problems melt away.” It had been a long week and I had my fair share of problems that needed melting, I was also ravenous so sat down with high expectations. My partner and I ordered 6 Sanam Korb (80 baht), stir fried broccoli in Oyster Sauce (80 baht) and a bowl of rice each (15 baht).

We had ice cold Pepsi's (25 baht) to drink. The “6 Sanam Korb” dish is the signature food of Sanamya. This is also one of the healthiest foods in the restaurant. There are six fried items that are mixed together for a unique taste; squid, anchovy, peanut, dried green peppers, kaffir lime leaf and dried salted prawn.

This dish was a little sour, not very spicy but very delcious. The stir fried broccoli in oyster sauce was also good. The broccoli was cut into pieces and then fried in oyster sauce. The smell of the sauce is really nice and the sweet taste from the broccoli and salty flavour from the sauce makes for a wonderful combination. There is a live music band that plays gentle folk and rock hits every night.

Reflecting the meaning of ‘Sanamya’ which means lawn, is the restaurant’s décor which has a curious white tent-shaped roof.

Sanamya is located on Thepkrasatri Road, at the corner of intersection in front of Rajbhat University. It opens from 6pm till midnight.
