The Phuket Provincial Community Development Office together with the OTOP (one town one product) entrepreneurs opened the 5th Phuket OTOP fair on 5 February.

Vice Governor Theerayut Eamtrakul said, “This OTOP fair's aim is to expand more sales channels for the entrepreneurs and promote the products from each province.”

“These meetings will create profitable commercial negotiations for the entrepreneurs in the future. We believe more than 10 million baht will be generated from the thousands of visitors.”

There are more than 400 booths on display specializing in the local food and beverages from Phuket and other provinces.

Naparat La-ongpet the president of Phuket OTOP Entrepreneur Network said, “This year we have opened the fair to the entrepreneurs and their plans and preparations will help our network become stronger and more powerful when we host the next event.”

Khun Naparat added “More over there will be performances from local students and the Old Peoples Club, a cocktail contest, beauty contest, and job training for visitors.”

The OTOP fair is located in Sapanhin, Phuket town and is open until 14 February.
