The biggest sports supply shop outside of Bangkok has opened at Jungceylon. The shop, Sports World, offers a broad assortment of brand name sporting goods equipment, apparel, and footwear in a specialty store environment.

?Our store takes up a total area of over 4,000 square meters, stocking a wide range of products to cover a range of sports,? Kamolphant Siriphanporn, Managing Director of Active Nation Co Ltd, which owns the Sports World chain, told Phuket Post. ?The biggest store in Thailand is our 5,500sqm Sports World at Seree Center in Bangkok. Sports World Phuket is the now the largest sports store up country.?

Being an authorised dealer of leading sports brands, Sports World carries most of the world's top name sporting goods, including Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Puma, Ashworth, Lacoste, Roxy and Wilson. ?The whole shop is divided into nine sections; Sports Apparel, Sports Shoes, Water Sports Equipment, Outdoor Sports, Action Sports, Team Sports, Recreational Sports, Golf, and Health & Fitness,? K Kamolphant explained.

A variety of beachwear, outdoor wear, casual wear, and swimwear are offered at the store's sports apparel corner, and the sport shoes section has more than 2,000 styles of athletic shoes.

?The water sports and outdoor sports area are pretty large because, apart from basic snorkelling and scuba diving gears, we also have Jet Ski, wind surfing, canoeing and kayak boats on display,? he said. ?We also have a complete range of outdoor sports equipment, from camping, hiking, rock climbing, to deep sea fishing. In addition, there's a 10-metre high climbing wall for beginners and amateurs to practise their skills and try our products.?

For those who love action sports or extreme games, K Kamolphant suggested a visit to the store's action area, where you will be able to try skateboards, mountain bikes and even an ATV.

?Everything for the team players are also here, whether it is a team of two like tennis, squash badminton, or a bigger game, like soccer, volleyball, basketball. ?The recreational sports section here is the company's first, and I believe it will become popular in Phuket and around the region.
