Jungceylon makes a splash
Jungceylon makes a splash
Fri 17 Nov 2006
On the evening of Thursday 16 November, the soon to be opened Jungceylon shopping complex, in Patong, dazzled and delighted more than 500 invited guests with the first public performance of its 40 million baht water and light show. The water show featured over 100 individual fountains moving in a myriad of sequences accompanied by the sultry tones of a saxophonist.

The highlight of the show was when a fine spray created by the fountains was used as a giant backdrop to display a movie about the history of the name Jungceylon and of Phuket.

The light and water show is certain to become an attraction in its own right, drawing residents and tourists alike to enjoy both the show and the extensive range of shops, boutiques and restaurants due to open on 15 December.

The next public showing of the water and light show will be on 5 December when members of the public are invited to attend a ceremony of light and sound to honour HM the King on the celebration of his birthday.
