The Phuket Shelter for Children and Families has been taking care of Thailand?s impoverished children, abused women and abandoned babies since 1994.
Although the registered charity does receive funding from the government, it relies mainly
on the donations of the more fortunate to sustain the maintenance of the centre and the wellbeing of those in need.
Some dig in their pockets, others spare time to go and volunteer, while seven women from Phuket are choosing to do something a little different to raise not only funds, but the profile of the shelter.
The themes of the WWP 2011?s calendar shots are varied; from biker chicks to Asian dolls, to millionaire playgirls to a more mystical/ spiritual representation of a Thai woman.
The WWP will host the official launch party of their 2011 calendar on 5 November at Cape Sienna from 6.30pm.
The calendar is available at various outlets around the island including all Seng Ho bookstores for just 299 baht from 1 November.
