I am dealing with business owners and retailers regarding their interest to open shops at The Sixth Phuket while monitoring construction of The Sixth Phuket which now 70% completed.
Remind the Phuket Post readers of the details of your project?
The Sixth Phuket is a new neighbourhood shopping venue in the most vibrant retail location of Phuket under Chino-Portuguese design concept which is Phuket?s unique architectural heritage. It is a perfect location for restaurants and caf?s, retail shops, service outlets, banks, spa and salons aiming to attract Phuket citizen and tourists of both local and international.
Situated on the sprightly Patong Beach, the new three-storey shopping arcade occupies 3,150 square metres of utility space, of which 2,350 square metres will be set for rental and 800 square metres as shared space. It has 42 customisable retail outlets for rent. The underground parking space has a capacity of 90 vehicles. Rates vary according to size and layout ranging from 40,000 to 150,000 per month for a whole block. Construction is now underway and it will be opened in November 2011.
Is everything on schedule? When do you estimate that construction will be finished?
The Sixth Phuket project has progressed as planed to officially open in November this year as a new hip landmark in Phuket.
When will the project be ready to officially open to the public?
During the construction, we have been in contact with many business operators such as caf?, restaurants and spa, salon, gallery, retail shops and many lifestyle ventures. So I am certain that upon the construction completed, all retail spaces will be filled in with many themed dinning outlets and fascinating lifestyle shops.
Has anything changed in terms of construction or design during the building process?
The building concept and design remains as presented to public and business operators since our first announcement.
How have you found public response to your project?
Amazingly that The Sixth Phuket?s concept of being the first neighbourhood lifestyle shop house has triggered interest of entrepreneurs, end customers, and even media. I assume that is because we are trying to fulfill needs of new generation consumers who demand for unique experience yet affordable.
What will be the main benefits of the project to the people of Phuket and to the area that it is located in?
I think that Patong needs a new concept of commercial space where people can hang out in tranquility yet stylish. Patong must have more options for tourists both International and Thai.
Is there anything that you would like to say to the people of Phuket?
I and my team try our best to develop another new chapter for Patong particularly in terms of good concept design that reflects a cultural essence of Phuket. The Sixth Phuket also welcomes all Phuket business owners who are looking for the best commercial location in Phuket.
