The long-awaited and much discussed extension of Laguna Resorts has finally been announced.

"Laguna Phuket has taken another innovative step in providing high-end luxury accommodation to its vacation guests with the launching of the Laguna Phuket Holiday Residences, an alternative private villa option to the six deluxe hotels within Asia’s finest destination resort." says a press release from Laguna Resorts.

The Laguna Phuket Holiday Residences offer a choice of 2,3, and 4-bedroom villas. The latter two options come with pools.

In true Laguna style, The Residences are situated in an exclusive gated community, offering guests privacy and space in a family-style development that could not be found in a conventional hotel setting.

The 2-bedroom villas are two-storey properties overlooking a free-form swimming pool and tropical gardens. The ground floor dining and living areas open onto a terrace, while both bedrooms on the second floor each have a private sun deck.

The 3 and 4-bedroom pool villas both feature private swimming pools and manicured gardens. All of the Residences are a blend of elegant traditional Thai style and the comforts of modern living offering 229 sq.m. to 604 sq.m. of living space.

The first phase comprises 13 of these Residences available as holiday homes for those who wish to vacation and have both the comforts of home and the convenience of five-star hotel services at their fingertips.

The press release promises that guests of the Laguna Phuket Holiday Residences will be pampered and catered to throughout their stay, with some very high-end features such as concierge, valet, laundry and airport limousine services readily available.

"Even the most discerning guests will discover it hard to find fault with these", assures the press release. Laguna Resorts even offers grocery delivery services, for those guests who wish to try their hand at cooking. "If over 30 bars and restaurants within the Laguna Phuket complex have been exhausted as dining options, guests can opt for pizza and pasta home delivery, or take advantage of the grocery delivery service and prepare their own home-cooked meals."

Guests are also offered access to use the facilities at the Laguna Holiday Club Resort, such as a free-form swimming pool with waterslide and pool bar, a Kids’ Club with a games corner, and free wireless Internet in the hotel lobby. With the Laguna Phuket Hotel Day Pass program, they can also enjoy the facilities at the other Laguna Phuket hotels, such as windsurfing, tennis, squash, sailing, canoeing, and much more.

Apart from this, they can tee-off at the 18-hole Laguna Phuket Golf Club, indulge themselves at the Banyan Tree Spa or one of the four Angsana Spas, or do some shopping at Canal Shopping Village, all conveniently located within the resort complex. Laguna’s inter-resort complimentary shuttle bus and ferry services, as well as a central billing system which enables guests to charge Laguna Phuket restaurant and bar bills to their villa account, all help make their vacation a virtually cashless one.

The Laguna Phuket Holiday Residences 3-and-4-bedroom villas will open their doors on 1 December 2007. Special opening rates valid 1 December 2007 – 31 March 2008 are USD660 for a 3-bedroom villa and USD780 for a 4-bedroom villa, The 2-bedroom villas will be available from July 2008.
